Description
Shadda – a carpet belonging to the group of pile-free carpets. In terms of weaving technique, the shadda is similar to the striped palaz. The pattern is composed of threads of different colors that are repeated continuously after a certain number of times. The most common type of pattern or composition on shaddas was the image of a caravan of camels forming rhythmic horizontal stripes.
